Responsibility
Silver Bridge Coffee is committed to giving back to the countries that produce the coffee that we all enjoy. We believe strongly in the specialty coffee industry that fair trade, ecological impact and sustainability are issues that we all must support. There are so many deep issues to discuss as we seek to enjoy this wonderful beverage and still give back to the people and countries that produce it. Silver Bridge Coffee wants to impact our world locally and globally with a Christian World View.
Where we buy our coffee
We import our coffee through small importers. These companies are very involved in relationship coffees and sustainability. This means that they seek to have a direct impact on the communities and lives of the farmers from which they buy coffee. You can visit their websites and see that they are leaders in the coffee industry in giving back to the countries from which they import. We have met and are comfortable with these people. We do offer fair trade or organic coffee, and we will note that in the item description. We are not certified organic and fair trade at this time, we can offer coffee that contain fair trade and organic beans. We are huge fans of the PEARL project in Rwanda (which has been renamed SPREAD). This project has helped the widows and survivors of the Rwandan genocide rebuild the coffee farms and their lives through Specialty Coffee.
Grounds for faith
We are happy to give back to coffee producing countries in a unique and exciting way. Grounds for Faith is a program unique to our company . A portion of our profits will go directly to a missionary in a coffee producing country. We know many wonderful people who have devoted their lives to the people in these coffee producing lands. They seek to meet not only the physical, social, and medical needs of the people but also the Spiritual needs. Each quarter we will spotlight the missionary that receives our Grounds for Faith Offering. Stay tuned to our blog and this website. You can know that a portion of your purchase is going to help these missionaries who devote their lives in service.
